Two new twin-unit “DF-4B” locomotive with the capacity of 6600 liters, built at the Tsiyan locomotive factory of the South Engineering Corporation of China, arrived in the locomotive depot of the city of Ashgabat.

The locomotives will be sent to roadormance tests, during which experts from Turkmenistan and China will check the locomotives” compliance with necessary requirements, reports the Ashgabat locomotive depot. “These will be retesting checks, explained railroad officials. The first tests were carried out in the presence of specialists from Turkmenistan at the locomotive factory.”

All Chinese locomotives shipped earlier in Turkmenistan from the Chinese company “Capital Longdzhi” – 10 shunting, 5 passenger and 9 cargo were tested successfully. Since 2005, the mileage of new locomotives amounted to more than 600 thousand kilometers. During this time, they did without repairs. Now the railway fleet has got two more locomotives.
