DUSHANBE, July 7, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A new subject, “Marifati Islom” (An Enlightenment View of Islam), will be taught at schools in Tajikistan starting from this school year, Minister of Education of Education Abdujabbor Rahmonov remarked at a press conference in Dushanbe on July 5.

According to him, this subject will taught by 8th-11th grade students.  The minister noted that the textbook on this subject would be published by the end of August.
