DUSHANBE, June 5, 2009, Asia-Plus — To establish good relations with the Muslim world the Unites States should not limit to the address to the Arab world only, deputy leader of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT), Vohidkhon Qosiddinov, said in an interview with Asia-Plus, commenting on a June 4 speech of U.S. President Barack Obama in the Egyptian capital.
According to him, the conflict between the United States and the Muslim world will be settled only when the United States establishes good relations not only with the Arab countries that are just a part of the Muslim world but with all the Muslim countries, including Iran.
As a whole, Mr. Qosiddinov considers the speech of President Obama in Cairo as “”unsurpassed step taken by the United States in regard to the Muslim world” and expressed hope that the speech would give positive impulse, opening a new page in history of relations between the United States and the Muslim world.
