DUSHANBE, June 4, 2009, Asia-Plus — On Wednesday June 3, senior representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) met with visiting delegation of the Iran Ministry of Energy led by the head of the international cooperation department Nasri, Ms. Tojinisso Azizova, a spokeswoman for a MoEI, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
Top managers of six Iran’s companies, including Qods Nirou, Abhar, Nour-e Tajhiz-e Saba, Mahtab Qods, Afratab Co and Iranian company for producing electricity meters, also attended the meeting.
“Representatives of Iranian companies are interested in launching joint ventures in Tajikistan for producing electricity meters and energy-saving light bulbs (compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs),” said Azizova, “The sides agreed to realize this intention in the near future.”
Iranian delegation arrived in Tajikistan for a several-day visit and during their stay in the country, the delegation members are scheduled to visit closed joint-stock company (CJSC) Transformator (transformer-producing plant) in Qurghon Teppa (Khatlon) and CJSC Charogh (plant for producing incandescent light bulbs) in Sughd’s Isfara district as well as to familiarize themselves with the pace of construction of the Iranian-built Sangtuda-2 hydroelectric plant on the Vakhsh River.
