Turkmenistan will take part in the World Exhibition “Expo-2010”, which will take place from May 1 to October 31, 2010, in Shanghai (the People”s Republic of China).

According to the decree of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan will conclude necessary contracts with the Shanghai Coordinating Bureau of World exhibitions. It also approved the composition of the Organization Commission and a list of ministries, departments, enterprises and organizations participating in the exhibition, the country”s State News Agency (TDH) reports.

Turkmenistan will be attend the Universal Forum held every 5 years for the first time. To date, 186 states and 47 international organizations confirmed their intention to participate in the EXPO-2010. According to experts, about 70 million people will visit the World Exhibition in Shanghai, the motto of which is “The best city – better life”.
