GHARM, May 6, 2009, Asia-Plus — On occasion of the 64th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, 59 war veterans living in the Rasht districts have received an extraordinary grant of 50 somoni each, according to the Rasht administration. The funds have been allocated from the district budget.
A meeting of representative of local authorities with war veterans has been held in the district today. In addition to extraordinary grants provided by local authorities, the veterans have also received 350 somoni each on behalf of the president.
