KULOB, January 22, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov yesterday was on a working visit to Kulob and during his stay in the city, the minister visited Kulob State University and Teachers’ Training College at it.

According to the university administration, a number changes will take place at the university in the near future.  “The Department of Journalism will be established at the Faculty of Tajik Language and Literature and the Department of Preschool Education and Practical Psychology will be opened at the Faculty of Pedagogy,” the source said, noting that some serious changes are expected to be made to the education program of the Teachers’ Training College as well.
