DUSHANBE, March 15, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Dushanbe police have reportedly solved a firearm murder committed in Dushanbe on March 13. 

As it had been reported earlier, a man was found with a bullet wound in the head on the southern outskirts of Dushanbe on March 13, at about 10:00 pm.  According to the Interior Ministry, the body was found in a car Opel parked on the Rahmon Nabiyev Street.  The dead man was identified as Dushanbe resident H.R., 30.

The source says S.S., 28, was detained yesterday on suspicion of having committed that crime.  “Makarov pistol that was used in the killing of H.R. was confiscated from S.S.,” he said.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against S.S. and an investigation is under way.

According to the statistical data from the Interior Ministry, 10 crimes involving firearms have been registered in the country over the first two months of this year.  In 2010, 83 such crimes were reported in that country, which is 25 cases more than in 2009.
