DUSHANBE, January 15, 2009, Asia-Plus — An enlarged government session, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, has opened in Dushanbe today morning.
According to presidential press service this two-day meeting is aimed to review Tajikistan’s economic results in 2008 and consider tasks set for this year.
The meeting participants include senior representatives of president’s office, ministers, heads of departments and large industrial enterprises, as well as regional governors and district and city mayors.
Today, heads of ministries, departments as well as local authorities are reporting on the results of work carried in 2008.
Certain staff changes are expected to be introduced tomorrow.
