DUSHANBE, January 13, 2009, Asia-Plus — Gallup poll has ranked Tajikistan first among 138 countries in terms of assessing Russian policy.
The Kremlin has nearly unconditional support herd as 92 percent of the population of Tajikistan have supported Russian.
Tajikistan is followed by Kyrgyzstan (89 percent) and Kazakhstan (87 percent).
According to Gallup, 62 percent of the population of Armenia, Russia”s traditional ally in the Caucasus, is displeased with Russian policy. In Georgia, the Kremlin”s activities in the region and worldwide are approved of by only 22 percent.
Most Ukrainians (53 percent) approve of the Russian state policy despite official Kiev”s current attitude. Approval of the Russian policy is higher in Azerbaijan where 66 percent Moscow.
In Moldova, 62 percent of the population support Russia, in Belarus 51 percent and in Uzbekistan 50 percent.
