QURGHON TEPPA, May 4, 2011, Asia-Plus — The Qurghon Teppa prosecutor’s office has completed investigation into criminal case of local resident Firdavs Saidov, who is suspected of having brutally killed three underage children in Qurghon Teppa last December.

Abdulmumin Kabirov, an investigator with Qurghon Teppa prosecutor’s office, says Saidov is charged with robbery, rape and killing.  According to him, the case has already moved the Khatlon regional court.

We will recall that the Interior Ministry spokesman Mahmadullo Asadulloyev told Asia-Plus on December 20 that the Qurghon Teppa resident Firdavs Saidov who was arrested on suspicion of having committed that horrible crime admitted killing the minors.  “He knew children’s parents well as he worked together with them at Qurghon Teppa’s market,” said Asadulloyev, “Saidov knew that they return home from the market late and decided to rob their apartment.  Children knew him well and opened the door to him.  Saidov killed the children and seized US$2,000 and 8,000 somoni.”

Asia-Plus’s reporter for Khatlon reported on December 17 that three children from one family – 9-year-old Shohjahon, 13-year-old Lobar and 15-year-old Nargis – were found dead with numerous stab wounds in their apartment in Qurghon Teppa in the evening of December 16, at about 6:00 pm.  According to the Khatlon police directorate, the 19-year-old resident of Qurghon Teppa Firdavs Saidov was arrested the same day on suspicion of having committed the crime.   “When he was detained, his clothes and hands were soiled with blood and two kitchen knives were confiscated from him,” the source at the Khatlon police said.
