DUSHANBE, December 29, 2008, Asia-Plus — On Friday December 26, the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sharif Said met with Korean Ambassador to Tajikistan Kim Hing Su (phonetically spelled), according to the CCI press service.
In the course of the talks the sides exchanged views on a state and prospects of expansion of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. Both sides noted that bilateral trade did not correspondent to its real potential and there was considerable room for expansion of economic ties.
During the meeting, Korean diplomat also shared his impressions of travels to various Tajik regions with the CCI head and noted that Tajikistan had good potentials for development of energy and agrarian sectors as well as tourism and relevant industries.
The two also discussed issues related to training of business personnel for Tajikistan with support of Korean specialists, the press service said.
