DUSHANBE, December 26, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Enterprises of Tojikmatlubot (Tajik consumer cooperatives’ union) organize a number of New Year’s farm produce fairs in Dushanbe from December 29-31.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Tojikmatlubot official Farrukh Qayumov said that 20 cooperatives of Tojikmatlubot would offer more than 450 tons of farm produce to the Dushanbe residents.

“Farming units from Suhgd and Khatlon provinces as well as districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) have brought their products to Dushanbe,” Qayumov said, noting that the fairs will be organized on the Qariyai Bolo market.

The products will be sold at prices 15-20 percent lower than the current prices on Dushanbe’s markets, Qayumov said.
