DUSHANBE, December 19, 2008, Asia-Plus – A student of one of Dushanbe universities has been detained for drug pushing, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA).
The source at the counternarcotics agency noted that student M.F., who is resident of Khatlon’s Shuroobod district, was detained by the DCA officers in Dushanbe on December 18 on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking. “More than three kilograms of hashish were confiscated from him,” the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
