OAO KAMAZ is to supply 1,600 trucks and spare parts worth US $ 2,6 million to Turkmenistan by the end of 2008. The list of KAMAZ major Turkmenistan”s customers includes Turkmenavtoyollary, Turkmenneft, Turkmengas and Turkmenneftegazstroy state concerns as well as oil and gas, defence, interior, energy and industry, construction and healthcare ministries and other state organizations, the company”s press service said.

“We commissioned KAMAZ training-trading center in Ashgabat this year to sell, repair and service 5 thousand cars a year. The total cost of the project is US $ 8 million. The center will train drivers and specialists for Turkmenistan. Service centers were also commissioned in Balkanabat and Mary cities,” the press service noted.

“KAMAZ is interested in staying at the Turkmen car market at the level of 2008 as minimum,” the press service said.
