Officers of the Tajik State National Security Committee have arrested members of an organized criminal group involved in production of fake diplomas of Tajik universities. The group was making fake diplomas for more than 20 years.
Since 1990 till their arrest members of the group – 63-year-old Safar Rajabov, 46-year-old Giesiddin Achilov, 44-year-old Ludmila Drozdenko, 39-year-old Muhabbat Suvanqulova, all residents of Dushanbe, and 39-year-old resident of Tursunzade Tolib Ochildiev, sold more than 100 fake diplomas of Tajik universities to citizens of Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan at a price from $300 to $800 per unit, a spokesman for the committee Nozirjon Buriev told AP.
Evidences – computer equipment, color printers, blank forms of diplomas, multiple attachments to diplomas, ready-to-use fake diplomas – were seized from the arrested members of the group.
Criminal proceedings have been launched, investigation is under way.
