DUSHANBE, November 22, 2008, Asia-Plus – As of November 1, 2008, Tajikistan’s poultry farms have had totaling 1.489 head of poultry, which 451,000 more than as of the same period of last year, Deputy Agriculture Minister, Sijouddin Isroilov, said.
According to him, 18 poultry farms currently function in the country and two others – Malik-M and Murghi Marjon — are expected to have been launched by the end of this year in Vahdat and Fayzobod districts respectively.
Over the first ten months of this year, the country’s poultry farms have produced 67 million eggs, which is nearly two times more than in the same period of last year, when they had produced 37 million eggs, the deputy minister said.
