DUSHANBE, November 14, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Media Program of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF-Tajikistan) and International Journalism Center, MediaNet (Kazakhstan), have presented a survey on journalism education in Dushanbe today morning.   

The survey was conducted by the MediaNet expert-consultant Vyacheslav Abramov in October this year.   

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ms. Rukhshona Olimova, the OSI/AF-Tajik Media Program coordinator, said the survey had been conducted to identify the situation in the field of the journalism education and work constructive recommendations on improvement of the journalism education situation.

The International Journalism Center, MediaNet, was established by a group of Kazakh journalists in 2004 for the purpose of promoting formation of a new generation of journalists – unbiased, socially active, professional and independent.  MediaNet has implemented more than 60 various journalism projects so far.
