DUSHANBE, November 14, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov, heading Tajik delegation, is participating at a regular session of the council of the CIS heads of government that is opening in Chisinau, Moldova today.   

According to presidential press service, the session is expected to consider some 35 issues and the CIS economic development strategy designed for the period until 2020 is the major topic of the session.

We will recall that the CIS heads of state considered the draft strategy of the CIS economic development for period until 2020 at a meeting in Bishkek on October 10 and instructed the heads of government to make a final decision on the draft strategy.    

The Chisinau meeting is also supposed to consider a number of other draft documents, including priority areas of transportation cooperation between the CIS states up to 2020. 

The CIS heads of government will also consider issues related to ensuing full-scale TV and radio broadcasting of the Interstate TV and radio Company MIR.
