DUSHANBE, October 29, Asia-Plus – Three young men have been wounded in a knife fight in the northern city of Chkalov (formerly Chkalovks).

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the incident took place in the evening of Saturday (October 27).  Two alleged instigators of the fight – Sherzod Fathulloyev, 20, and Bakhtiyor Asadullo, 20 — have been detained; both of them are residents of Dushanbe.

They reportedly put up the fight against three local residents Muboriz Haqrizoboyev, 19, Rasoul Nazrulloyev, 20, and Jahongir Tavakkalov, 24.  Haqrizoboyev, Nazrulloyev and Tavakkalov sustained stab wounds and were taken to a hospital.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the instigators of the fight and an investigation is under way.
