on February 24, the Majlisi Milli speaker Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev remarked at a meeting of the Majlisi Milli (


Tajikistan


’s lower chamber of parliament) board on February 22.  President Rahmonov and visiting Prince Amyn Aga Khan will attend the ceremony of groundbreaking for the hotel, according to him. 

During the meeting it was noted that the Dushanbe Serena hotel would be constructed under support of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).   Besides, the construction of a series of other world-class hotels also will commence this year, according to Ubaidulloyev.

As it had been reported earlier, Russian, Turkish and other companies will construct these hotels.

is planned to be finished in July this year.  Reminding that the Italian company is building the Center, Mr. Ubaidulloyev noted that in July 2007 the 50

anniversary of the assumption by His Highness the Aga Khan of the office of Imamat is celebrated.
