DUSHANBE, February 23, Asia-Plus – The board of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) has recommended 28 laws that had earlier been adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) to be tabled to the fourth session of the Majlisi Milli of the third convocation. 

A session of the board of the Majlisi Milli presided over by the Majlisi Milli Speaker Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held on February 22.  

When discussing the RT Law “On Audit Activity” members of the Majlisi Milli board noted that it did not correspondent any more to other country’s laws.  The Majlisi Milli board also considered a draft agreement on cooperation between the Majlisi Milli and



Russia


’s Council of Federation (Russian upper chamber of parliament) and a draft concept on cooperation between the Tajik and Russian upper houses in expanding regional cooperation between the two countries.  

The fourth session of the Majlisi Milli of the third convocation will open in


Dushanbe


on February 24.
