DUSHANBE, February 28, Asia-Plus – For the purpose of raising a role of entrepreneurs in improvement of the city and promoting development of small and medium businesses in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev passed a resolution on holding a contest “Best Dushanbe Entrepreneur – 2005”.

mayor, the contest is held in two stagers on 18 nominations.  

The first stage will be held from March 1-31 and winners of this stage will take part in the second stage scheduled for April 5-12.  The winner will have been announced by April 15.  Funds for holding the conference are provided from the city budget.  According to Shavkat Saidov, 15,000 Somonis have been provided from the

budget for these purposes.  

“The winner will be given the title “Leader of Small and Medium Enterprises of Dushanbe in 2005,” Shavkat Saidov said.
