’s savings bank) has been connected to international system of money transfer and payments “Contact”, according to information from “Amonatbonk”. 

An official with the Amonatbonk money transfer department has told Asia-Plus that this system was introduced in late February and at first it was operational only at the bank’s headquarters in


Dushanbe

“On Friday March 17, all branches of the bank in


Dushanbe


were connected to the “Contact” system and beginning from the next, it will be introduced in all branches of “Amonatbonk across the republic,” the source said. 

By the “Contact” system, 3 percent of amount remitted is paid by sender and funds may be remitted not only throughout the CIS states but the far abroad countries as well, according to the source.

’s savings bank has five branches, 69 local offices and 493 agencies across the republic.  To date, only 40 local offices of the bank operating in the regions have used money transfer systems, including “Western Union”, “Fast Mail”, “Inter-Express”, “Migom” (in a flash), “Anelik” and now “Contact”.   

Besides, Amonatbonk, “AgroInvestBonk”, “Oryonbonk” and “Tajprombank” also provides money transfer system “Contact”.   

In the near future Amonatbonk intends to introduce the money transfer system “Country-Express”.
