, the delegation consists of representatives from


Russia


’s ministries of industries and foreign affairs as well as head of Russian trade representation in


Tajikistan


, as well as a number of Russian experts.  

Head of the Russian delegation, Emergencies Minister Sergey Shoigu, is arriving in


Dushanbe


within the next hour.

The source says the main purpose of the visit is for the delegation to discuss preparations for the next meeting of the two countries’ joint commission for economic and trade cooperation set for June this year.

During his stay in Tajikistan Sergey Shoigu is scheduled to meet with President Emomali Rahmonov and Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov to discuss bilateral cooperation.  Shoigu and Oqilov are the co-chairmen of the Tajik-Russian commission for economic cooperation.  Their talks also will focus on a progress of implementation of agreements reached at the previous session of the commission.
