Dushanbe


on April 14.  

According to him, the arbitration courts have to date operating in some region of the country and are guided only by the existing regulations.  

He noted that legal documents regulating activities of the arbitration courts were being drafted in the republic.   

“In international practice, such court are functioning in rural areas relieving economic courts of resolving various disputes,” said Isroilov, “The arbitration courts will not replace the economic ones.  The arbitration and economic courts will function in interaction.” 

The judge added that people might lodge appeals against decisions of the arbitration courts to an economic court.  “Besides, implementation of rulings made by arbitration courts will be placed on economic courts,” Jalol Isroilov said.  

As it had been reported earlier, international conference on development of international commercial arbitration in


Tajikistan


was held in


Dushanbe


on April 11-12.  During the conference it was noted that under conditions of the transition period there was a necessity to lay legal foundation for activity of the arbitration courts in the country.  

During the conference it was made a decision to draft bills “On Arbitration Courts” and “On International Commercial Arbitration”.
