DUSAHNBE, April 27, Asia-Plus – Officers from the Drug Control Agency’s (DCA) directorate for the Shuroobod district have intercepted more than 10 kilograms of marijuana in one operation.  

According to information from the DCA press service, officers from the Shuroobod drug-control directorate discovered a drug cache in the house of a 54-year-old woman in the

yesterday.  Her name is not yet disclosed in the interest of investigation.  

The source says the woman said that the drugs belonged to her 23-year-old son, who had previously been convicted of avoiding service in army.  

“The DCA investigators do not rule out that the woman and her son have been involved in drug trafficking and pushing the drugs in the Kulob region of Khatlon,” the DCA source said.
