DUSHANBE, April 28, Asia-Plus — A joint operation by Tajik border guards and officers from the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking (drug police) has lead to the seizure of some 100 kilograms of heroin at the Tajik-Afghan border in the Farkhor district of Khatlon.  

According to information from the Committee for Protection of State Border of Tajikistan, two Afghan drug traffickers were detained, when they were trying to illegally cross the border river in the area of the Farkhor district (Khatlon province) in late Thursday [April 27].  Some 100 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from the.
