today evening for officially opening projects funded by

’s Government.  

According to information from the Japanese Embassy in


Dushanbe


, opening ceremony of the project aimed at improvement of protection of health of mother and child in


Tajikistan


within the next five years will be held in


Dushanbe


on May 17.  This project has been supported by a grant awarded under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects of the Government of Japan.  The cost of the project is US$4.4 million.  

We will recall that under the project for women and children living in the most remote areas of


Tajikistan


necessary vaccines and basic medicines will be provided.

17, the first bulk of medicines will be handed over to the

Hospital


in


Dushanbe


and the


Central


District


Hospital


in Vahdat.  

Besides, Yuichi Kusumoto also will take part at a ceremony of handing over musical instruments to the Opera and Ballet Theatre in

.  The musical instrument for more than US$400,000 have been purchased in


Japan


, and the first concert with use of new musical instrument will be held on May 18.
