and a Year of Aryan Civilization, according to information from Tajik central bank. 

The NBT source has told Asia-Plus that the NBT head Murodullo Alimardonov met with head of the


St. Petersburg


mint Aleksandr Mazur in


Dushanbe


on May 16.  In the course of the talks they discussed issues related to cooperation between the Tajik central bank and the


St. Petersburg


mint.  The two outlined the main directions and priorities of the bilateral cooperation.  Their meeting resulted in signing of a contract on minting jubilee coins in


St. Petersburg


.  

 It is planned to mint jubilee coins of 1, 3, and 5 Somonis’ denomination.  A part of them intended for circulation will be produced from cupro-zinc alloy (brass), ad the other part intended for numismatic purposes will be produced from cupro-nickel alloy (German silver) and collection coins of the same denominations will be produced from precious metals, most likely silver, according to the source.  

As it had been reported earlier, the NBT put into circulation the first jubilee coins of 3 Somonis’ denomination dedicated to the 10anniversary of
