Mr. Odina Homidov, head of the publishing department within the Ministry of Culture, has told Asia-Plus that bill proposing amendments to the mentioned laws are currently under the consideration in the Majlisi Namoyandagon (

“Most likely, parliament will endorse these amendments at its sitting in September,” Mr. Homidov said.  “The re-registration of mass media is connected, first of all, with the fact that there is a great number of media in the republic, and major part of them is not actually functioning,” the Culture Ministry official said.
