DUSHANBE, May 22, Asia-Plus — The heads of state guard services (formerly extra-agency services) from the member nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS; Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan) have gathered in the Tajik capital to discuss issues related to improvement of legal foundation for expansion of cooperation between the CIS state guard services.

Dushanbe


on May 22.  According to information from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the meeting considered a progress of the implementation of resolutions that had been adopted at the previous meeting and participation of the state guard services in the resolving priorities of the interior agencies in fighting crime.  

Participants at the meeting also discussed further strengthening of ties between the CIS state guard services in improvement of management under the current economic conditions, exchange of experience and methods of organization of work in providing property security.
