According to information from the Tajik Ministry of Defense (MoD), Iranian Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, remarked this yesterday during his telephone conversation with the Defense Minister of

, Sherali Khairulloyev.  

During the telephone conversation the two discussed bilateral cooperation between


Tajikistan


and


Iran


as well as regional and international issue being of mutual interesting and called for cooperation in all areas. 

Sherali Khairulloyev appreciated


Iran


’s contribution to peace and security of the region and said that he was pleased with progress


Iran


has made in the defense and security sector.  He called for exchange of views with Iranian officials on regional cooperation on peace and security.  Khairulloyev said that regular consultations between defense ministries of states of the region would be effective in fostering a defense and security arrangement.  

For his part, the Iranian minister noted that
