Tolib Shahidi is holder of the Rudaki Award, laureate of numerous international musical contests, author of five operas and a series of ballets, four symphonies and concerts for orchestra, and music to many performances and movies.  

Internationally known Conductor Valery Gergiyev has noted that Shahid’s music is a brilliant synthesis of cultures of the East and the West.  

Many known Russian composers came to the meeting to congratulate Tolib Shahidi.
