, June 7, Asia-Plus– A roundtable meeting formally titled “Democratic Prospects of Russia in the 21
st
Century” was held at Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in
Dushanbe
today.
The meeting was staged by the Russian Embassy in
Dushanbe
on the sidelines of celebrations to mark
Russia
’s Day.
According to information from the Russian Embassy in
Dushanbe
, Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ramazan Abdulatipov delivered a statement at the meeting on prospects of democratization in
Russia
. Besides, papers on the subjects of “
Tajikistan
and
Russia
in Light of Democratic Times”, “Education as Factor of Development of Democracy” and “Process of Democratization in the CIS States.”
Representatives from the Russian and Central Asian states’ embassies, RTSU, and Tajik MFA took part in the meeting’s work.
