, June 9, Asia-Plus – An official opening of new library with a seating capacity of 200 is being held at Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in

today afternoon.

Ilan Tupailo, Pro-Rector of RTSU for Studies, has told

-Plus the library is provided with computers and copying machines. 

On the sidelines of this ceremony, a presentation of 23,500 textbooks for a total amount of 3.20 million Russian rubles will be held in the university today.  

The RTSU library was created in 1997 and today it has more than 62,000 books on various disciplines.  Mr. Tupailo says they also plan to open a bookshop at the university.  

Representatives from the Russian embassy, rectors of Dushanbe-based higher educational institutions, as well as representatives from the president’s office and education ministry of Tajikistan are supposed to attend the library-opening ceremony.
