DUSHANBE, June 30, Asia-Plus — A cache containing drugs and arms have been discovered at the Tajik-Afghan border in the Panj district of Khatlon, according to information from the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking (drug police).

The drug police source says the cache was discovered in the area near the village of Tugul late Thursday [June 29].  Some 7 kilograms of hashish and two firearms were extracted from the hide.   

The source says the cache was discovered in an operation by officers from the Khatlon drug police directorate and the Panj police directorate.
