, July 17, Asia-Plus – Based on current data, the gross domestic product (GDP) for January-June 2006 has amounted to 3,524,458,800 Somonis, an increase of 107.1 percent over the first half-year of 2005 in comparable prices. 

According to data provided by the State Committee for Statistics, production of goods has accounted for 39.2 percent of the country’s GDP, production of services – 48.8 percent and taxes – 12 percent.

has produced a total of 2.1492 billion Somonis of industrial goods over the first six months of this year.  Compared to January-June 2005 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods has amounted to 106.3 percent.

Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry have produced 184.5 million Somonis’ worth of goods over the first six months of this year, which 7.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2005.

Over the same six-month period, enterprises of the Ministry of Agriculture have produced 228.1 million Somonis’ worth of output, which is 2.6 percent fewer than in January-June 2005.   

In January-June 2006, 405 of 667 enterprises in

have exceeded the January-June 2005 production level.  In June 2006, 199 enterprises in

produced were not in operation.
