, July 18, Asia-Plus – 56,731 bushes of wild hemp were discovered and destroyed in the Tajik northern district of Konibodom yesterday, according to information from the Tajik border service.  

The source the action was carried out within the ongoing counternarcotics operations “Channel 2006” and “Poppy 2006”.  

All in all, some 200,000 drug-containing plants were destroyed in both operations,” the border service source said.
