KHOROG, August 24, Asia-Plus – The regional organization of the People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) for Gorno Badakhshan held its seventh regional conference in Khorog on August 23.
Delegates at the conference discussed issues related to preparation of the party’s primary organizations in the region for the upcoming presidential election in the country and heard reports of the inspection commission as well as elected new membership of the executive committee and delegates to the ninth republican conference of the PDPT.
Qurbonaseyn Khudoiyev, who was reelected chairman of the executive committee of the PDPT organization for Gorno Badakhshan, has told Asia-Plus that participants at meetings of primary organizations and city, district and regional conferences held to hear reports and elect new officials want to see candidacy of Emomali Rahmonov in the upcoming presidential election in the republic.
