DUSAHNBE, September 5, Asia-Plus – Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) also Dushanbe Mayor, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, has been awarded 1-grade “Ismoili Somoni” Order, according to reliable source.  

The source says Prime Minister, Oqil Oqilov, and Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), Saydullo Khairulloyev, have also been rewarded this order.   

Senior representatives from regional authorities, ministries and organizations, as well as a number of journalists from the state-run news agency “Khovar” and national TV and radio have also been awarded various decorations on occasion of the 15

th

anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.  

All in all, more than 300 persons, including military, who were given next military ranks, were awarded decorations on this occasion.
