Some 12,000 people to participate in theatrical show dedicated to Independence Day 

DUSHANBE, September 5, Asia-Plus – A theatrical show entitled “Gleams of Independence” dedicated to the 15

th

anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence will be held at the Central Stadium in Dushanbe on September 9.  

            Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, has told Asia-Plus that some 12,000 people, including professional artistes, students and schoolchildren, will take part in this theatrical show staged by known Tajik actor and producer Ubaidullo Rajabov.  

Mirzoshorukh Asrorov, the head of the culture department within the Dushanbe mayor’s office, says that ceremonial events dedicated to this date will be held at the “Kokhi Borbad” Complex a day before, on September 8.  A show with participation of more than 1,500 people, including 800 Dushanbe schoolchildren, will be held at the “Kokhi Borbad” Complex as well.
