DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus – The Third Tajikistan International Exhibition Building & Construction, Interiors, Heating & Ventilation “TajikBuild 2006” opened at the “Kokhi Borbad” Complex in Dushanbe on September 19.

The Dushanbe company Iteco Osiyo, which is an official partner of the British exhibition company ITE Group Plc in Tajikistan, has staged the exhibition. 

A source in Iteco Osiyo told Asia-Plus that building and decorative materials, road-building and construction machines, saunas and basins and interior design are on display in this exhibition, which runs through September 21. 

Some 40 leading construction companies from Turkey, Mongolia, Austria, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Russia and Tajikistan are participating in the exhibition. 

According to the source, Tajik companies are expected to enter into agreements with foreign companies taking part in the exhibition. 

”More than 23,000 enterprises and organizations are registered in the republic, including small and medium businesses. Leading industries are non-ferrous metallurgy, hydropower, construction, agriculture, communication and telecommunication, transportation, mining industry, light and food industry, chemical industry, education,” the source said.

More than 10,000 people are expected to visit the exhibition.

The exhibition is supported by the Government of Tajikistan, the State Committee for Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Industry and Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The first “Tajik Build” exhibition was held in 2004.
