DUSHANBE, October 3, Asia-Plus — An annual educational fair organized by Higher Education Support Program of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/ Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF) jointly with Tajikistan’s Ministry of Education will open at the “Kokhi Vahdat” State Complex in Dushanbe tomorrow.  

A source in the Tajik Branch of OSI/AF said that the objective of the fair is to provide Tajik students, pupils and young specialists with information about educational opportunities and conditions of studying abroad.  

The Tajik Ministry of Education, Tajik Branch of OSI/AF, Central Asian American University, the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, Aga Khan Humanities Project for Central Asia, British Council-Uzbekistan, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), IREX, ACCELS, Kazakhstan’s Institute for Management, Economy and Politics (KIMEP), Relief International, Cultural Center “Bactria” and Business and Economic Education Project (BEE) will present their programs in the fair.  

Representatives from these organizations will give consultative lections on education systems abroad, procedure of preparing package of documents and passing tests for studying abroad, as well as conditions of receiving financial support.   

Similar events will be held in Khujand on October 6, Qurghon Teppa on October 10 and in Kulob on October 11.   

The educational fair has been held in Tajikistan since 2002.
