DUSHANBE, October 28, Asia-Plus  – His Highness the Aga Khan, Imam (spiritual leader) of the Ismaili Muslims, will arrive in Tajikistan on October 29 for an official visit, according to the Tajik MFA.

A source at the MFA said that during his stay in Dushanbe His Highness the Aga Khan will meet with President Emomali Rahmonov, Deputy Prime Minister Asadullo Ghulomov, Foreign Minister Talbak Nazarov and Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev. 

On October 30, the Aga Khan will join President Rahmonov in a groundbreaking ceremony for a world-class Serena Hotel in Dushanbe. 

The same day, the two will also visit the Ismaili Center construction site in Dushanbe. 

On October 31, President Rahmonov and His Highness will leave for Gorno Badakhshan to inaugurate a bridge across the Panj River in the Ishkashim district. 

In Khorog, the Aga Khan will also visit the Pamirs Botanical Gardens and the site of the future campus of the University of Central Asia (UCA) in Khorog
