DUSHANBE, November 20, Asia-Plus – The relevant departments of the Tajik government are currently discussing a program aimed at improving activity of Tojikstandart, Tajik agency for standardization and metrology. 

A source at the government said that the program provides for modernization of the agency’s labs through replacing their equipment.  The estimated budget for this program projected for three years is 2.5 million somonis (nearly US$746,400).  The source added that the program will be implemented with use grants and loans.      

According to the source, the government is expected to consider and approve this program at its next session.
