DUSHANBE, January 24, Asia-Plus – On Monday January 22, Sharif Saidov, head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) met with Turkey’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Akif Aykhan and representatives from Turkish business circles, the CCI press service said.

In the course of the talks the sides discussed issues related to economic and trade cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey.  “Turkish businessmen were interested in investment projects and noted that they need information about economy and business environment protection legislation of Tajikistan,” the CCI press service said, adding that the sides agreed on exchanging business information.   

The Tajik CCI head outlined energy, mining, road building, healthcare, education, telecommunications and tourism as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.  Saidov especially invited Turkish investments in industrial and agrarian sectors.  

The meeting also focused on the upcoming exhibition of Turkish goods, which is scheduled to be held in Tajikistan in September this year.
