DUSHANBE, February 7, Asia-Plus – Ramazon Rahimov, formerly deputy interior minister, has been appointed as head of the Migration Service at the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

As it had been reported earlier, as a result of drastic government reorganization ordered by President Rahmonov last November the Labor Ministry’s duty on resolving migration problems folded into a MoI.

Rahmatullo Nazarov has replaced Jurakhon Zohirov as chief of Tajikistan’s transportation police.  Nazarov had previously been head of special unit at the MoI department for combating organized crime.
