KULOB, February 12, Asia-Plus — A Kulob city organization of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) held a conference today.  One of major topics of the conference was additional parliamentary election in the Kulob constituency set for April 1. 

Additional election will be held in the Kulob constituency to replace parliament deputy Abdujabbor Shamsov, who had been appointed as Deputy Interior Minister.    

The conference made a decision to field a 47-year-old Saidibrohim Muhammadnazar in the election. 

Saidibrohim Muhammadnazar heads the culture section  at the IRPT managing board.  Muhammadnazar graduated from Tajik Technical University (former Tajik Polytechnic Institute).  He had previously served as engineer in various transportation enterprises in Kulob.  

Bahodour Nazirov, an assistant with the OSCE field office in Kulob, Emomali Rahmonov, head of the Kulob electoral commission, as well as representatives from local authorities attended the IRPT conference in Kulob.  

Candidates to run in the additional parliamentary election in the Hamadoni constituency, which will also be held on April 1, are expected to be nominated tomorrow.  In the Hamadoni constituency, the additional lection will be held to replace Asadullo Abdulloyev, who had been appointed to head the Khuruson district.
