DUSHANBE, March 27, Asia-Plus – Tajik Journalists’ Union has announced the competition among female journalists on the best publication about women’s problems, Pulod Nourov, executive secretary of Tajik Journalists’ Union, said.  

According to him, the goal of the competition is to promote development and active involvement of mass media in covering issues related to role of women in society.  “The union has invited all newspapers and news agencies as well as freelance journalists to take part in the competition,” Nourov said.  

The award ceremony will be held on a Family Day, which is celebrated in Tajikistan on May 15.  The winner will be given a title of Toji Iftikhor (Crown of Pride), according to the executive secretary.
